Kevin Wright Carney, CPP, BA, OSJ


President and CEO

Silver Gauntlet International President and CEO, Kevin Wright Carney is a recognized expert in strategic planning for construction site security and is the author of Securing The Outdoor Construction Site: Strategy, Prevention and Mitigation, published in 2015 by Butterworth Heinemann. The book details the best policies and approaches for construction and security professionals, as well as those in the law enforcement, insurance and legal fields, to help combat the multi-billion dollar, global problem of construction site security

Prior to launching SGI, Carney served as general manager for a firm that provides a number of security services including risk assessments, threat management response, contract security, and training, to important institutions, corporations, and ITAR/government manufacturing facilities. Clients included several large construction companies specializing in outdoor capital projects.

Carney is a retired sergeant of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, with more than 23 years of service. He earned his Certified Protection Professional certification from ASIS International in 2014. He is a Certified High-Rise Fire/Life Safety Consultant.

Additionally, Carney holds a Bachelor’s Degree in political science, with a specialization in foreign government, from California State University, Northridge. He speaks several languages including English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. He is the author of three books.

Paul L. Scauzillo


Vice President, Operations

Paul Scauzillo is Vice President of Operations at Silver Gauntlet International. He is a retired Lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and has more than 37 years of law enforcement and private security executive management experience.

Scauzillo is an expert in the area of street crime and is a Federal Drug Task Force former supervisor. He is called often as an expert witness in narcotics cases in both state and federal courts.

During his long tenure with the LASD he collaborated with numerous state and federal agencies including the FBI, Secret Service and Homeland Security. He served as the law enforcement security manager for five courthouses in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for the security of 300 court employees, 60 Superior Court judges and more than one million visitors annually.

Prior to joining SGI, Scauzillo held the position of Operations Commander at a firm that provides a number of security services including risk assessments, threat management response, contract security, and training, to important institutions, corporations, and ITAR/government manufacturing facilities. Clients included several large construction companies specializing in outdoor capital projects. Scauzillo oversaw the company’s operations and training throughout California, managed security resources at each location, and developed site-specific security plans including strategic solutions to combat metal thefts.

Scauzillo holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Hofstra University in New York, and has taught courses in criminal justice at colleges in the Los Angeles area. He is the recipient of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Distinguished Service Award.

Lauren C. Wong


Director of Client Services

Lauren Claire Wong came to Silver Gauntlet International in 2016. In her duties as SGI’s Director of Client Services, she is in contact daily with a wide range of individuals, from clients to law enforcement personnel to SGI’s Field Agents. As a member of the executive team, she is an integral part of corporate decision making and training of personnel. She tracks the progress of all active accounts as well as billing for services rendered to our clients. Her ability to filter news, document sensitive matters and solve client site concerns facilitates the performance of our Field Agents and ensures our clients are properly served.

She has over 22 years experience as a security professional, having worked in a similar management capacity for a statewide California security and investigations company.

Lauren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from California State University Northridge. After graduating from the university, Lauren became a reporter for various newspapers in the Los Angeles area as well as entertainment industry magazines based in San Francisco and New York. She interviewed a wide range of high profile artists, interfacing easily with these celebrities, their executive management teams and her media editors. From international press conferences to private one-on-one interview environments, Lauren was adept with communication demands, from the spoken to written word.

Later in her media career, Lauren worked for various movie production and music firms where she oversaw the specific needs of entertainment industry luminaries. Her name is listed in the production credits of some iconic albums during her music management years. During her four years on the Fox lot, Lauren handled production duties for films like Point Break and Unlawful Entry.

In her off time, Lauren enjoys traveling overseas, attending concerts/entertainment industry events, hiking and gardening. She is a proud parent as well as a good citizen for various community groups associated with her son’s school.

Gerald C. Clark


Director of Fire/Life Safety Services

Gerald C. Clark came to Silver Gauntlet with over 32 years’ experience in fire protection. He served ten years as a Supervisory Fire Protection Specialist for the United States Air Force from 1985-1995. After serving his country on active military duty, Gerald became a Supervisory Fire Protection Specialist for the Department of Defense where he has served for more than 22 years protecting some of our Nation’s most critical assets. He achieved the rank of Fire Chief in 2007 and has been serving the Department of Defense in this role for over ten years.

He is an Executive Fire Officer having graduated the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, an elite 4-year executive development program for National Leaders in the fire service.

He is also Nationally and Internationally certified as Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector III, Fire Instructor III, Fire Investigator I, and Hazardous Materials Incident Commander. He has also completed Fire Inspection Principles and Plans Review course in-residence at the National Fire Academy, and he has a degree in Fire Science.

He has lived in Japan, Panama, Florida, Hawaii, and California. He is a single Father of a teenage Son and enjoys spending time with his Son, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, and exploring the great outdoors.





Pam Graham, MA

Corporate Advisor

Pam Graham is a Corporate Advisor for Silver Gauntlet International. She is a retired Supervisory Special Agent and Chief Security Officer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In that post, she supervised a squad of 14 and was responsible for the management of all physical and IT security matters for employees, contractors and task force officers. She managed continuity of operations, emergency evacuation, and active shooter/shelter-in-place plans.

In addition, during her more than 20 years with the Bureau, Graham oversaw and ensured compliance of numerous construction projects conducted criminal investigations that led to arrests, prosecutions and convictions in violation of Title 18 matters including bank robbery, kidnap and extortion. She developed and implemented the probationary agent-training program for newly assigned agents in Los Angeles. She carries Top Secret clearance and is an FBI-certified crisis negotiator and police instructor.

Prior to joining SGI, Graham ran her own consulting firm that provided a number of services to ensure corporate security compliance, including review and analysis of internal security programs, best practices, site surveys, physical security/vulnerability and insider threat assessments, business continuity and crisis management plans. She designed and implemented programs for security awareness training for employees, contractors and guards.

Graham holds a Master of Arts degree in education from Virginia Technical Institute.
